King Edward Road Showrooms | $1.1M | Constructed 2013

This project involved a contemporary upgrade of a dated seventies office, showroom and warehouse complex on the corner of King Edward Road and Sarich Court in Osborne Park. The scope of the project included a new facade, roof, external works and re-organised internal base building amenities. The new aluminium facade uses a neutral black and white 'barcode' pattern replacing a series of dated arched windows and a domestic brick facade. Designed to appeal to a broad range of retail tenants the facade emphasises the verticality of a low horizontal building. This upgrade of an ageing showroom is relevant to many rapidly transforming industrial suburbs close to the city.
